A mostly flat trading day has just ended

• Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF was the biggest decliner today after giving up 0.96% IShares 1-3 Year Treasury Bond ETF (down 0.352%), iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) also underperformed today.
• European markets closed higher today whilst FTSE is up by 1.03%, hitting 7,741.56.

Ahead of tomorrow's session: markets did not have a clear cut direction — Dow Jones gained 0.3% and closed at 33,600. S&P 500 closed 4,109 after a stable day.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen tomorrow; meanwhile, upbeat European markets ended today higher as FTSE added 1.03% to trade at 7,741.56. Asia-Pacific markets ended a mixed session today whilst KOSPI Composite Index ascends by 0.87%, reaching 2,512.

Data to be released tomorrow might clear up some of the market fog as United States Crude Oil Inventories is projected to outperform its last figure with -1.3 million. It previously stood at -3.74 million; data will be released Wednesday. United States Consumer Price Index is expected Wednesday. United States Core Consumer Prices figure is projected at 0.4%. It previously stood at 0.5%; data will be released Wednesday.

With price action remaining lacklustre today some assets finished the session lower as Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF lost 0.96% today before closing at $46.48. IShares 1-3 Year Treasury Bond ETF (down 0.352%), iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) also underperformed today.

Today's fall added to a 3 day bearish run, during which Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities Index Fund ETF Shares lost 11 cents. The fund disclosed a quarterly dividend of 11.8 cents per share on Monday, December 26th and was paid on Monday, March 6th — thereby generating a yield of 1% for all eligble investors.
