Ahead of tomorrow's session: markets were up Friday; S&P 500 ended the session at 4,045.64 after a 1.61% gain. Nasdaq gained 1.97% and closed at 11,700.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen tomorrow; meanwhile, upbeat European markets ended Friday higher as DAX climbs by 1.64%, reaching 15,578. Asia-Pacific markets closed higher Friday whilst Nikkei rises to 27,927 (up 1.56%).

Futu Holdings Limited and Oracle due to release their earnings reports within the following week.

Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators — United States ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI (Feb) released Friday with a figure of 55.1, while the previous figure was 55.2. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released Friday with a figure of 224,200, while the previous figure was 243,800. United States CFTC Gold speculative net positions released Friday with a figure of 128,800, while the previous figure was 160,300.

Also worthy of note, United States Fed Chair Powell testimony set for Tuesday. United States EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook is expected Tuesday.

While most assets did well Friday, some did better than others as Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF trades at $45.5 having gained 0.8%. IShares Core Total USD Bond Market ETF (up 0.716%) is also performing well.

Friday's bullishness contained stragglers as iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF closed at $25.35 having dropped 0.04%.

Regarding dividends, the fund's quarterly dividend yield now stands at 1.04% after Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities Index Fund ETF Shares's board disclosed a dividend of 11.8 cents per share on Monday, December 26th to be paid on Monday, March 6th for all shareholders of record up until Thursday, March 2nd.
