Before Monday's session: markets were up yesterday; Dow Jones closed the day at 33,763, having gained 2.12%. S&P 500 gained 1.45% and closed at 4,282.37.
US markets are set to open Monday in around 2 days. In the meantime, European markets closed higher yesterday whilst FTSE is up by 1.56%, hitting 7,607.28. Upbeat Asia-Pacific markets ended yesterday higher as KOSPI Composite Index is up by 1.25%, hitting 2,601.36.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. and Signature Bank have released their earnings reports; NIO Inc. & The Toro Company will publish their respective reports in due course.
Uptick coincides with some positive signs published earlier as data for United States Non Farm Payrolls published yesterday at 12:30 UTC came out at 339,000, beating projections of 180,000 and showing improvement over the preceding figure of 294,000.
On a negative note, the market received some disappointing news as United States Average Hourly Earnings fell short of the 0.4% projections, with new data of 0.3%. United States Unemployment Rate published yesterday at 12:30 UTC came out at 3.7, falling short of the 3.5 projections and continuing its decline from the previous 3.4 figure.
Elsewhere, United States Services PMI is expected Monday. United States ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI (May) will be released Monday.
