A positive trading day has come to its end

• FTSE moves up by 0.37%, reaching 7,628.

Before tomorrow's session: markets closed higher today, as Nasdaq ended the session at 13,276 after a 0.36% gain. S&P 500 closed the day at 4,283.73, having gained 0.23%.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen tomorrow; meanwhile, upbeat European markets ended today higher as FTSE moves up to 7,628 (up 0.37%). Asia-Pacific markets ended a mixed session today whilst ASX 200 is down by 1.2%, dips to 7,129.6

3Rd quarter earnings season is mostly over, with Thor Industries, Inc. and Aurora Cannabis Inc. releasing their earnings reports just this week.

Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators — United States ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI (May) came out at 50.3, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 51.8. United States Services PMI released yesterday at 13:45 UTC with a figure of 54.9, while the previous figure was 53.6. Factory Orders in United States fell short of market expectations (1.1%) with a reading of 0.4%, continuing the decline from the previous figure of 0.6%.

Also worthy of note, United States Crude Oil Inventories expected to decline to 1.15 million while its preceding data was 4.49 million, data will be available tomorrow at 14:30 UTC. As things stand, upcoming United States Initial Jobless Claims data is projected to fall short of market expectations with newly published data of 238,000, following on from the preceding figure of 232,000. New data is set to be published Thursday.

While most assets did well today, some did better than others as SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF trades at $43.2 having gained 5.06%.

Today's bullishness contained stragglers as noticeable risk-on sentiment wasn't enough to prevent ProShares UltraPro Short Russell2000 giving up $3.7, or 7.91%, before ending the session at $43.07. IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF had a negative day today (down 0.039%).
