Today's trading session saw to it that leading equity indices in the US rose as Nasdaq closed the day at 11,600, having gained 0.72%. S&P 500 ended the session at 4,012.32 after a 0.53% gain.
US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen tomorrow; meanwhile, Asia-Pacific markets are in session with varied performances. European markets ended a mixed session today whilst DAX is up by 0.49%, hitting 15,476.

Uptick coincides with some positive signs published earlier as United States Crude Oil Inventories beat the 2 million projections, with 7.65 million. United States Initial Jobless Claims came out at 192,000, better than analyst estimates of 200,000 and improving upon the previous reading of 195,000.
On a negative note, the market received some disappointing news as following a previous reading of 3.2, GDP in United States released today at 13:30 UTC fell short of the 2.9 figure expected by analysts with an actual reading of 2.7.
Furthermore, the market is looking at United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Jan) is expected tomorrow at 13:30 UTC. United States New Home Sales (Jan) will be released tomorrow at 15:00 UTC.
While most assets did well today, some did better than others as United States Natural Gas Fund LP trades at $8.07 having gained 6.46%. IShares J.P. Morgan USD Emerging Markets Bond ETF (up 1.6%) is also performing well.
