Tentatively higher from an earlier low of 1.085, EUR/USD is up to 1.0873 today, adding 21 pips, or 0.2%, to Friday's closing price of 1.0852.
Other currencies are also rising as AUD/USD is up 0.7%. EUR/JPY is up 0.39%.
While Euro-Dollar is up today, these currencies are lagging behind: after ending Friday's session at 1.6332, EUR/AUD lost 80 pips and is trading around 1.6251.
Also worthy of note, Euro Zone ECB President Lagarde speech is expected tomorrow at 14:00 UTC. Today at 09:00 UTC data for Euro Zone Industrial Production will be released, with an expected decline to -2.5% from the preceding figure of 1.5%. Italy Consumer Price Index figure is projected at -0.3%. It previously stood at 0.5%; data will be released tomorrow at 08:00 UTC.
Euro-Dollar is now trading 2% away from its significant high of 1.1073 first tested 12 days ago.
