Tentatively higher from an earlier low of 1.4382, EUR/CAD is up to 1.4476 today, adding 21 pips, or 0.15%, to Friday's closing price of 1.4454.
Other currencies are also rising as having closed the previous session at 1.5707, EUR/AUD is up 0.29% today to currently trade at around 1.5752. EUR/NZD gained 0.25% and is now trading at 1.7126.
While EUR/CAD is up today, these currencies are lagging behind: GBP/JPY slumps 0.23% to trade around 163.19.
Also worthy of note, Canada Ivey PMI (Feb) is scheduled for today at 15:00 UTC. Euro Zone Retail Sales is projected to outperform its last figure with 1%, having previously been at -2.7%. The figure will be published today at 10:00 UTC. Germany Factory Orders projected to come out at -1% — worse than previous data of 3.2%; data will be released tomorrow at 08:00 UTC.
Having established significant support at 1.2895 approximately 6 months ago, EUR/CAD's share price has bounced 12.09% higher.
