Tentatively higher from an earlier low of 1.4324, EUR/CAD is up to 1.4485 today, adding 28 pips, or 0.2%, to yesterday's closing price of 1.4456.
At the same time, Italy Consumer Price Index came out at 0%, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.1%. Germany GfK Consumer Climate (Jul) released today at 06:00 UTC with a figure of -25.4, while the previous figure was -24.4. Canada Core Consumer Prices came out at 0.4%.
Elsewhere, other currency pairs are also gaining ground as EUR/NZD added 1.2% to its value, now trading at 1.7986. GBP/NZD is up 0.91% to 2.0859.
While EUR/CAD is up today, these currencies are lagging behind: NZD/USD falls 1.2% to trade around 0.6093.
