Euro-Aussie dollar spiked to 1.635 before dropping back to its pre-spike levels and is now heading towards the close around 1.6336.
At the same time, Australia CFTC AUD speculative net positions released today at 20:30 UTC with a figure of -49,200, while the previous figure was -45,000. Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions came out at 179,400. Spain Consumer Price Index came out at 4.1%, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 4.1%.
Other currencies are also rising as having closed the previous session at 1.9853, GBP/NZD is up 1.29% today to currently trade at around 2.0109. EUR/NZD is up 1.18%.
While Euro-Aussie dollar is up today, these currencies are lagging behind: NZD/USD is down to 0.619, losing 109 pips, after closing at 0.63 in the preceding trading session.
Euro-Aussie dollar is now trading 2.56% away from its significant high of 1.6707 first tested 16 days ago.
