Losing streak continues: the Cocoa future down $26, closed at $2,889 adding to its eight days of losses

A quick look at Friday: Cocoa ended Friday at $2,889 per metric tonne following from closing Thursday at $2,915. Overall, this represents a loss of $26 or 0.89%.

CME Cocoa's value drop coincided with the fact that Coffee descends 0.75% Friday and closed at $194.4.

Though CME Cocoa has been dropping, other Softs have been performing better: notably, Sugar rose 0.43% Friday and closed at $23.39.

The commodity has been trending positively for about a month. CME Cocoa hit a significant low of $2,211.5 around 6 months ago, but has since recovered 31.81%.
