The US chemical company rose as high as $29.35 before giving up its gains and dropping back to $29.07 before the close on Friday. The DuPont spinoff's market cap currently stands at $4.33 billion with an average daily trading volume of 965,661 shares.

Chemours is scheduled to announce earnings results tomorrow. The consensus EPS estimate is 0.51 and the consensus revenue estimate is $1.46 billion.
