Market's down-tick coincides with some negative macro data published earlier as United States Producer Price Index released earlier showed a marked improvement to 0.2% from the preceding data of -0.4%, but fell short of the 0.3% figure forecast by a consensus of market analysts. United States Initial Jobless Claims published Thursday came out at 264,000, falling short of the 245,000 projections and continuing its decline from the previous 242,000 figure.
While price action maintains a negative bias, United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 216,600, while the previous figure was 214,800.
Yesterday's bearishness meant that iShares MBS ETF lost 0.7% yesterday before closing at $94.5. As things stand, Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF (down 0.684%), iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) are also underperforming today.
