Sterling-Canadian dollar went up 23 pips, closing at 1.6924 and building up on its four days of gains

A quick look at Friday: GBP/CAD closed Friday at 1.6924 (with a daily low of 1.6844) after ending Thursday at 1.69 and gaining 0.15%.

Elsewhere, other currency pairs are also gaining ground as GBP/JPY is trading around 181.94 after ending Friday's session at 179.29 (up 1.47% today). USD/JPY is trading around 141.88 after ending Friday's session at 140.26 (up 1.15% today). EUR/JPY added 1.14% and closed around 153.5 Friday.

The market is looking forward to the release of new data: Canada RMPI (MoM) (May) is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30 UTC.

After setting a supportive marker at 1.4665 around 8 months ago, Sterling-Canadian dollar is now trading 15.23% higher.
