Elsewhere, other currency pairs are also gaining ground as GBP/NZD leaps up 0.97% to trade around 1.9556. Having closed the previous session at 1.1942, GBP/USD is up 1% today to currently trade at around 1.2063. GBP/CAD is up 0.73% to 1.6375.
Also worthy of note, Japan Industrial Production projected to come out at -2.6% — worse than previous data of 0.3%; data will be released today at 23:50 UTC. Japan Retail Sales is projected to outperform its last figure with 4%, having previously been at 3.8%. The figure will be published today at 23:50 UTC. United Kingdom BoE MPC Member Cunliffe speech will be released tomorrow at 10:15 UTC.
Pound-Yen is now trading 12.72% away from its significant low of 144.6 first tested 4 months ago.
