Traders return to their desks today following yesterday's selloff

• ETFMG Sit Ultra Short ETF was the biggest decliner yesterday after giving up 0.25% IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF had a negative day yesterday (down 0.039%).
• CAC improves to 7,184.35 (up 0.29%).

A reminder of where yesterday ended before today's session begins: leading equity indices in the US declined as Nasdaq slipped 1.16% and closed at 13,336. S&P 500 shed 0.45% and closed at 4,328.82.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen today; meanwhile, European markets closed higher yesterday whilst CAC is up by 0.29%, hitting 7,184.35. Asia-Pacific markets ended a mixed session today whilst ASX 200 climbs by 0.65%, reaching 7,124.7.

The earnings season is coming to an end and Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc & Jefferies Financial Group Inc. have release their reports.

While price action maintains a negative bias, United States 2-Year Note Auction released yesterday at 17:00 UTC with a figure of 4.67, while the previous figure was 4.3.

Looking ahead, ongoing depreciation may be prolonged as as things stand, upcoming United States GDP data is projected to fall short of market expectations with newly published data of 1.4, following on from the preceding figure of 2.6. New data is set to be published Thursday.

Some optimism can drawn from the fact that United States Crude Oil Inventories is projected to outperform its last figure with 1.42 million, having previously been at -3.83 million. The figure will be published tomorrow at 14:30 UTC. United States Core Durable Goods Orders is projected to outperform its last figure with -0.1%. It previously stood at -0.2%; data will be released today at 12:30 UTC.

While markets are generally down so far today, some assets outperformed such as Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund gained 2.23% to reach $36.66.

Yesterday's bearishness meant that ETFMG Sit Ultra Short ETF lost 0.25% yesterday before closing at $48.37. IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF had a negative day yesterday (down 0.039%).
