US markets closed higher yesterday, Asia-Pacific markets rising so far

Ahead of today's session: leading equity indices in the US rose as Nasdaq ended the session at 13,239 after a 1.02% gain. S&P 500 closed the day at 4,294, having gained 0.62%.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen today; meanwhile, Asia-Pacific session in progress; markets are rising as Nikkei moves up by 1.65%, reaching 32,163. European markets ended a mixed session yesterday whilst FTSE is down by 0.32%, reaching 7,599.74

On a negative note, the market received some disappointing news as highly important Initial Jobless Claims data from United States beat analyst expectations of 235,000 with a reading of 261,000. Highly important Crude Oil Inventories data from United States beat analyst expectations of 1 million with a reading of -451,000.

Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators — United States Fed's Balance Sheet released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 8.39 trillion, while the previous figure was 8.39 trillion.

While most assets did well yesterday, some did better than others as Vanguard Mortgage-Backed Securities ETF trades at $46.05 having gained 0.57%. IShares Core Total USD Bond Market ETF (up 0.508%) is also performing well.
