US markets closed sideways yesterday, Asia-Pacific markets are mixed so far

ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas was the biggest decliner yesterday after giving up 9.19% United States Natural Gas Fund LP (down 4.9%), iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) also underperformed yesterday.
Asia-Pacific markets are in session with varied performances.

Before today's session: markets did not have a clear cut direction — Dow Jones shed 0.23% and closed at 33,900. Nasdaq closed at 12,157 after a flat day.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen today; meanwhile, Asia-Pacific markets are currently mixed so far this session.

3Rd quarter earnings season is mostly over, with Philip Morris International and ManpowerGroup Inc. releasing their earnings reports just this week.

This limbo state is reflected by market data published as following a previous reading of 597,000, Crude Oil Inventories in United States released yesterday at 14:30 UTC fell short of the -1 million figure expected by analysts with an actual reading of -4.58 million. United States Building Permits (Mar) came out at 1.41 million, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 1.45 million. United States 20-Year Bond Auction released yesterday at 17:00 UTC with a figure of 3.92, while the previous figure was 3.909.

Data to be released today might clear up some of the market fog as United States Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index (Apr) is expected today at 12:30 UTC. United States Existing Home Sales (Mar) will be released today at 14:00 UTC. Projections for United States Initial Jobless Claims are set for a continuation of decline with 240,000 while previous data was 239,000; data will be released today at 12:30 UTC.

Despite lacklustre price action, some assets lagged behind their peers as ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas lost 9.19% yesterday before closing at $3.46. United States Natural Gas Fund LP (down 4.9%), iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) also underperformed yesterday.

IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF has been pretty quiet for the last a month, trading mostly flat and moving by only 0.02 cents on average.
