Yesterday's lacklustre market sentiment sees Euro-Aussie dollar drop 1%

A quick look at yesterday: overall, EUR/AUD shed around 165 pips or 1% and ended yesterday's session at 1.6204.

Amid the market gloom, Australia CFTC AUD speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of -44,100, while the previous figure was -49,100. Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 165,700, while the previous figure was 173,700. Spain Unemployment Change released yesterday at 07:00 UTC is better than expected at -49,300 but down from preceding data of -73,900 according to new data.

Euro-Aussie dollar's value drop coincided with the fact that GBP/CAD drops 0.74% yesterday and closed at 1.6841. EUR/CAD drops 0.63% yesterday and closed at 1.4469.

Positive performances can be seen by looking at other currencies as USD/JPY is trading around 139.97 after ending yesterday's session at 138.8 (up 0.84% today).

Euro-Aussie dollar is now trading 2.02% away from its significant high of 1.6707 first tested a month ago.
